    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By creating an account or using SmartCard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

    2. Service Description

    SmartCard provides a platform for creating, customizing, and sharing digital business cards. Each card includes a unique URL and QR code for easy sharing with contacts.

    3. Account Responsibilities

    You are responsible for:

    • Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
    • All content you add to your digital business card.
    • Ensuring the information on your card is accurate and does not violate any laws.

    4. Payment & Publishing

    Publishing a card requires a one-time payment of R450. Once paid, your card remains live permanently. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

    5. Prohibited Content

    You may not use SmartCard to publish content that is:

    • Illegal, fraudulent, or misleading.
    • Defamatory, harassing, or threatening.
    • Infringing on intellectual property rights of others.
    • Containing malware, spam, or phishing links.

    We reserve the right to remove any card or suspend any account that violates these terms.

    6. Intellectual Property

    You retain ownership of the content you upload to your card. By using SmartCard, you grant us a limited licence to display and distribute your card content as part of the service.

    7. Limitation of Liability

    SmartCard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

    8. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your published cards will be taken offline.

    9. Changes to Terms

    We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of SmartCard after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
